When God Meets Us in the Rubble

Where Pain Meets Purpose and God Steps In

Life doesn’t always break gently. Sometimes it shatters without warning, leaving pieces of our hearts scattered in places we never expected. We try to gather ourselves, to make sense of what happened, to understand why certain storms had to come our way. And in those moments, when everything feels heavy and uncertain, we often wonder if God still sees us.

But He does. He always does.

There are seasons when we walk through life carrying wounds no one else can see. Seasons when fear whispers louder than hope. Seasons when we feel buried under the rubble of disappointment, danger, or heartbreak. Yet even there — especially there — God knows how to find us.

He meets us in the rubble.

Not after we’ve cleaned ourselves up. Not after we’ve figured everything out. Not after we’ve healed.

He meets us right in the middle of the mess, reminding us that His presence is not limited to peaceful places. His power is not restricted to perfect moments. His love is not reserved for those who never fall.

When we whisper His name, He hears. When we cry out for help, He responds. When we feel forgotten, He is already working behind the scenes.

I’ve learned that God’s rescue often comes quietly — through a prayer, a warning, a sudden shift, a person He sends at the right time. And sometimes it comes dramatically, in ways that leave no doubt that He stepped in.

If today feels heavy for you, let this truth settle in your heart:

You are not alone. You are not forgotten. You are not unprotected.

The same God who shows up in the fire still shows up for you now. The same God who met you once will meet you again. The same God who pulled you out of past rubble will lift you from today’s.

Hold on to Him. He has never let go of you.
